P.A.N.G.

The art collective P.A.N.G. believe in collaboration and consists of eleven professional practitioners in art embroidery and textile art. The members have diverse backgrounds, education, and experiences, but they are united by the desire to give needle and thread a prominent place in both the art world and public spaces. The group's vision is to be a dynamic network for professional practitioners within embroidery and textile art.

Nålsöga

During Stockholm Craft Week, the textile art collective P.A.N.G visits Tensta Konsthall with the exhibition Nålsöga (Eye of the Needle). Drop-in embroidery sessions will be arranged in connection with the opening and closing receptions. Join in and create a textile work together with the artists!

"We work with the softest and the strongest, the hardest and the most fragile. Thin threads and small stitches that create supporting structures. Through the eye of a needle, we invite others to see each other and ourselves in textile images and forms. What do we share, what do we carry? Our collective strength is needle and thread; everything else we discover together."

Drop-in-broderi

Drop-in embroidery is organized in collaboration with Kvinnocaféet, in conjunction with the opening and the closing finissage for the textile exhibition "Nålsöga" (The eye of the needle). Join to create a textile piece on the theme "Peace Love & Understanding." The artists behind the exhibition will set up a table covered with sheets and some embroidery hoops. Embroider freely, chat, and help each other. Feel free to ask for a technique demonstration; there is no right or wrong.
