MELT is an artist group consisting of three jewellery artists, each holding a master’s degree from Konstfack CRAFT!. Since their launch in 2021, they have initiated and produced exhibitions and talks, as well as invited other artists to collaborate. They work to create spaces where craft can thrive, both in Sweden and internationally. Together, they form a platform for dialogue and artistic development, with jewellery and craft as their shared starting point.

The works in the exhibition "Minnets materialitet" (The Materiality of Memory) revolve around memories and how we carry them with us, as well as their connection to the materials and objects that surround us. Using contemporary jewelry as a language and medium, the group explores how memories take shape, are preserved, and are conveyed, as well as how experiences can be embodied in relation to the body.

In connection with the group exhibition "Minnets materialitet" (The Materiality of Memory), a workshop by the same name will be held. Taking a personal memory as their point of departure, participants will create their own brooch giving form to a story, while simultaneously exploring how memories are shaped, altered, and preserved through the creative process. The workshop is conducted in small groups led by the exhibiting artists. No prior experience is required, and all materials are provided on site. Participants get to take home their own brooch.
