Konstfrämjandet Värmland is part of Folkrörelsernas Konstfrämjande, the People's Movements for Art Promotion, and works toward the mission "art for everyone". Konstfrämjandet sees art as a way of rethinking society and ourselves. Together with artists, participants and our member organizations, they provide different perspectives on the time in which we live.

This workshop combines plogging - jogging and picking up trash - with embroidery. During a jog around Mariatorget we collect trash, leftovers and other traces of humanity. Afterwards we continue inside, where our finds become starting points of embroidered stitches and signs on fabric. The workshop is inspired by the window exhibition "Ett vinkande farväl" and by Henriksson's work with found objects, leftovers of consumption and human traces in the public space. No special skills needed. Dress according to weather, comfortable shoes suitable for a light jog. All material provided.

In Konstfrämjandet's window, Hållams Linnea Henriksson's "A waving goodbye" is shown: a handsewn sculpture made from found gloves. The work is inspired by the runaway gloves found on the footpath, or hung on a shrub, a fence or an electric box - small acts of care in everyday life. It encompasses a hello as well as a goodbye, care as well as loss. When the gloves are folded out and stitched together a new movement appears: they seem to wave or hold each other. The work ties into Henriksson's previous exhibition at Konstfrämjandet Värmland, also shown in a shopping centre in Karlstad in 2024.
