Deadstock is a new initiative by craft artists Wictor Bernhard and Sebastian Hägelstam. Both hold a MFA in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack University of Arts Crafts & Design and have previously participated in Stockholm Craft Week through various projects.

In connection with the Deadstock exhibitions, an art lottery is also being held to enable lower-income visitors of Stockholm Craft Week to participate in the shopping frenzy being advocated. Visitors are referred to the information available on site for further details regarding the contents of the lottery, items, and other conditions.

With an aesthetic taken from shop windows, sample sales and warehouse clearances, Deadstock takes a satirical look at commerce, consumption and artistic production. Objects that have previously been put into storage are now dug out and exposed. The exhibition consists of handmade artworks and functional objects in ceramics, glass, plastic and other materials, together with the cardboard boxes in which they have been stored and transported. Here, craft meets the language of mass consumption: Display! Excess! Clearance! Everything is for sale. Everything must go!

On the lower floor of the venue you'll find the exhibition "Lagret", a chaotic treasure trove of carefully curated objects, exciting materials, and oddities that have likewise been hidden away, forgotten, or waiting for the right moment to come to light. Installations, material samples, unique handmade objects, and priceless artworks coexist with items that were perhaps never intended for display. No treasure map needed! Just a bit of curiosity.
