Karina Presttun creates sculptural objects from discarded materials, particularly textiles and wood shavings. The thin wood sheets are moistened, ironed, laminated, and cut into a stable surface that looks like wood but behaves like textile. In 2022, she began sewing zippers onto the surfaces, which developed into a modular system where panels can be zipped together and adapted to the space. The forms draw inspiration from fashion and music, moving between body, object, and garment.

For the exhibition "Konstellationer i ljud" (Constellations in Sound), textile artist Karina Presttun has explored what happens when sound is introduced into the gallery space alongside her bodily, textile objects. Sensing a strong connection between her modular sculptures and music, she aims to offer the audience an alternative way of reading the works. Sound art and music are created by the producer duo Lokatt.
