Hallwylska museet

The Hallwyl Museum is a preserved private residence dating back to 1898. Built as the winter home of Count and Countess von Hallwyl, it offers a glimpse into a wealthy household at the turn of the 20th century. Beyond the house itself, with its grand salons and servants’ quarters, the museum features Wilhelmina von Hallwyl’s extensive collections of art and craft, including weaponry, porcelain, silverware, and paintings.

Speglingar genom tid

A collaboration between The Hallwyl Museum and Konsthantverkarna, marking the association’s 75th anniversary. All members have explored the museum, gaining insight into the history of the von Hallwyl family and the many stories embedded in the house. Each of them have created works that enter into dialogue with the museum’s collections. The new additions are displayed throughout the museum’s main floor, integrated into the existing interiors. The exhibition is curated by Helena Sandström and Matilda Kästel, and is accompanied by a publication released in conjunction with the exhibition.
