Vad Händer?

The project Vad Händer? (What’s Happening?) is run by Konsthantverkscentrum, the Textile Museum, and FORM & Folk, in collaboration with Bohuslän Museum, Västergötland Museum, Rörstrand Museum, and Rian. The project’s participants consist of members of the Swedish Crafts Center who have combined their artistic processes with the museums' expertise, collections, archives, and resources to create new ways of understanding and conveying our shared cultural heritage.

Vad Händer – När du frågar, får du svar?

Within the project "Vad Händer?", light is shed on how craft can contribute to contemporary discussions on sustainability, materiality, and evolving traditions. In the exhibition of the same name, you can experience contemporary craft by practitioners working across various materials and techniques. Participants were invited to work from their own questions – ranging from societal challenges and materials to heritage, retrospection, or contemporary issues. The opening on Friday will be inaugurated by artist Bea Szenfeld at 3 PM.

In connection with the group exhibition "Vad Händer?", public talks will also be held featuring participating craft artists from the project of the same name. What happens when you ask – do you get an answer? Or could it be that there is no answer to the question?
