Studio ABC is an artist-run studio association for professional artists and cultural practitioners working across visual arts, film, text, and music. ABC Fusion is a temporary collective consisting of craft colleagues from the association, whose work spans everything from metal design to textiles, fine woodworking, and more.

Textile artist Sanne Lovén Rolén often works performatively and holds a soft spot for the humorously absurd. In this performance, Swedish crime expert Leif GW Persson appears in an inflatable rubber boat. He drifts around, eventually washing ashore on a deserted island where he unloads the boat’s contents. It’s a lot of stuff, but no snus. He decides to set off on a quest for snus and ends up in a cow pasture. Unsuccessfully, he attempts to coax snus out of the cows. The question is: How far is GW willing to go to get something to tuck under his lip?

Studio ABC are hosting a free workshop where participants get to create a concertina book – a book that unfolds like an accordion and then folds back together into a regular flip book. The book can be long or short, tall or low, and is a playful way to tell a story with or without words. You get to learn about the basic properties of paper as well as a few techniques and different folding methods. Paper and basic drawing materials will be provided on site. The workshop is open to both children and adults. Children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult.

AB-Craft is an exhibition presenting artists from Studio ABC in Vällingby, all with practices rooted in craft. The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of disciplines, from textiles and metalwork to fine woodworking and ceramics. Visitors will encounter a vibrant craft exhibition where materials such as wood, metal, and textiles are given new life through skilled craftsmanship and personal artistic expression.
