One-day conference at the Public Art Agency Sweden on 1 October
The latest Stockholm Craft Week kicked off on 1 October 2025 with a conference on international strategies and Nordic exchange. It was a day full of presentations and panel discussions organised by the Swedish Crafts Centre and the Public Art Agency Sweden, in collaboration with Norwegian Crafts and the Danish Arts Foundation. Se the video recording from the conference on the Swedish page.
The full-day conference ‘International Strategies and Nordic Exchange’ was organised by the Swedish Crafts Centre and the Public Art Agency Sweden in collaboration with Norwegian Crafts and the Danish Arts Foundation. The morning session included a presentation on how the Swedish Crafts Centre has worked to foster international establishment, and was followed by a panel discussion with political representatives and government officials on how we can jointly strengthen the internationalisation of Swedish crafts. The afternoon focused on Nordic development and exchange opportunities with particular emphasis on a new report on artist residencies at Nordic production sites and how this field can continue to develop in the future. The report is one of several outcomes of a collaboration between Norwegian Crafts, the Danish Arts Foundation and Nordic Culture Fund. The presentations was held in Swedish/Norwegian in the morning and in English in the afternoon.
