Five newly graduated textile artists from the HDK-Valand class of 2026 reunite for a joint exhibition. Their diverse practices offer a nuanced perspective on contemporary – and perhaps even future – textile craft.

Echoes From the Past is a group exhibition featuring five recent graduates from the Bachelor’s program in Textile Art at HDK-Valand. During their time at the academy, their ideas have evolved in dialogue with one another, and in this exhibition, the artists gather at an intersection of the old and the new. In various ways, they have built upon and paraphrased their previous works. Past pieces, ideas, and experiences encounter new works and new contexts. Together, they capture the years that have passed while looking forward to what is yet to come.
