Smedjan Blackeberg c/o Hallwylska museet

Smedjan Blackeberg was established in 2022 and is run by the artisans Agnes Larsson and Maki Okamoto. The goal of Smedjan Blackeberg as a platform is to promote, expand, and bring together the arena of handicrafts, connecting the local with the central. Here we have our metal workshop, where we offer courses for both children and adults and organize exhibitions. With us, people put their hands on the materials and come together through a shared experience of craftsmanship.

Inprägla – fästa i minnet

During this year's Stockholm Craft Week, Smedjan Blackeberg is arranging two workshops in collaboration with the Hallwyl Museum – a preserved home with memories, traces, and a history of craftsmanship from the turn of the 20th century. The workshop begins with a brief introduction and a tour of the museum. Inspired by the old palace and guided by Agnes Larsson and Maki Okamoto, participants will then have the chance to try embossing patterns into brass plate. Everyone gets to bring home a souvenir.
