Projektrum Augsburg c/o På Sergels torg

Projektrum Augsburg is a group of artists working for woodworking in all its forms. During 2022, the project room was run as an editorial office, workshop, course and lecture room as well as exhibition space in Systembolaget's old premises at Vasagatan 10 in Stockholm. The activities resulted in, among other things, the book "A University of one´s own. About Thomas Tempte and Projectrum Augsburg." Since 2023, Projektrum Augsburg has been operating without a physical location.

Vi Drömmer i Rokoko

A naked Rococo chest of drawers from AB Rococomöbler is the starting point for this exploratory exhibition about Rococo as movement. About twenty invited craftsmen, artists, designers and architects show works that in one way or another revolve around Rococo. The exhibition grows, like ripples on water, around a center: A 1960s Rococo bureau from Nässjö. Examples of questions addressed are: Rococo as Schwung, as Body, as 2D, as 3D, as Text and as Nature. The exhibition is held in collaboration with På Sergels torg and Malmstens LiU.

Vi Drömmer i Rokoko

Based on the Rococo chest of drawers from 1960s Sweden, the exhibition features works by around twenty craftsmen, artists, designers and architects. Never before or since has a more complex and advanced piece of furniture been made than the Rococo chest. What drove 18th-century cabinetmakers to these somewhat insane furniture projects? How does Rococo relate to things like Schwung, Body, 2D, 3D, Text and Nature?
