How do we live with death? How are our thoughts about life and death reflected in the objects we surround ourselves with. The conversation "Med anden i handen" (With the spirit in hand) is a dialogue tour with Anna Senno, curator and artist. She will give her interpretation of how craft reflects our spirituality to understand death, the spirit and the dream. Designer and researcher Petra Lilja will talk about invisible aspects of our objects and how materials can problematize the boundary between life and death, human and nature

How do we live with death? How are our thoughts about life and death reflected in the objects that surround us? In the workshop "Bygga Tornet" (Building the Tower) participants create a collective tower based on their own interpretations of the sculpture and death urn "Tornet" (the tower) by Masaru Kawai & Anna Senno. Tornet consists of five modular elements that stack upon each other like a Brio toy and can be exchanged throughout life. The foundational element is an urn in which one's ashes may one day rest. Drawing inspiration from Petra Lilja's work with materials, we explore techniques like coiling clay, which can be found in many prehistoric artifacts.

As a continuation of the font created for the exhibition "Juxtaposing Craft" this workshop is designed for children to physically explore letterforms. Through various activities, led by Stina Gromark, participants will experience how an alphabet can be crafted using their entire body and the natural surroundings. The outcome will be a digital replica of the font. Experiment • Body/Movement: Following the principle of the Juxtaposing Craft typeface where the body's reach creates the limitation for each letterform. • Nature/Composition: Creating letterforms from found natural objects. • 3D/Handcrafted: Crafting letters from clay.
