Mörkret

The artist collective Mörkret consists of seven material-based artists and craft makers who live and work in Dals Långed. Formed in 2023, the group includes Beata Alfredsson Grahn, Klara Bothén, Anni Foglert, Karin Granstrand, Karolina Hägg, Jonas Olsson, and Simon Westling. Their practices encompass a wide range of techniques and materials, primarily within metal and textile.

The members of the craft group behind the exhibition "666 95" meet regularly at a pizzeria in Dals Långed to talk about their work: Karin sews mountains because she has to, Beata etches uncertainty, Anni's raven is the companion of sleep, Klara knits secret messages, Karolina enamels the darkness of the night, Simon casts for the light, and then there's Jonas with the steel. By combining their different expressions and methods, they have together created an exhibition that invites reflection on the many meanings of darkness – from the personal and emotional to the societal and philosophical.
