Founded in 1951, Konsthantverkarna is Sweden's largest association for contemporary crafts and represents nearly ninety artisans working in various materials and techniques, such as ceramics, glass, metal, jewellery art, wood, textiles and paper. The gallery arrange solo or group exhibitions with both members or invited Swedish and international guest exhibitors.

In connection with the exhibition "Grande Finale", an Artist Talk and preview of the exhibition will be held with metal and jewellery artist Sara Engberg. As part of the relay event "Artist Walk" visitors will also have the opportunity to attend further artist talks at the nearby cooperatives Kaolin and Blås & Knåda, starting at Kaolin at 4:30 PM.

This year, Konsthantverkarna celebrates its 75th anniversary. Located at Södermalmstorg near Slussen, the association's retail space showcases nearly ninety members with a rich selection of functional items and sculptures: ceramics, glass, jewellery, wood, textiles, paper, and metalwork created by some of Sweden’s leading craft artists.

In the exhibition "Variations" ceramic artist Anna Rutz presents cylindrical forms in a range of sizes, where the interplay of light and shadow is created by the relief patterns on their surfaces. The contrast between larger and smaller forms generates dynamic compositions, while black clay set against white porcelain further enhances these visual contrasts. Anna Rutz is a member of Konsthantverkarna and has an MFA in Ceramics and Glass from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in 1996. Her work is represented in the collections of the Röhsska Museum and the Municipality of Nacka.

In this solo exhibition Sara Engberg will present sculptural works, including a gigantic skull made of sheet copper, as well as a series of lamps. Sara Engberg holds an MFA in Metal Design from Konstfack (1998) and completed Artistic Research studies in 2013. She has worked as a jewelry artist since graduating and is also active as an author and translator. In 2026, she was awarded the residency grant in Paris from Konsthantverkscentrum.
