Konstfack • Textil c/o Riche

Konstfack’s Bachelor’s program in Textiles provides a practical and theoretical foundation for operating professionally within the textile fields. In collaboration with Calle Carboni, Art Manager for the restaurant group Svenska Brasserier, a partnership has now been developed for an exhibition grant awarded to one or two graduating students upon completion of their degree. Svenska Brasserier, owner of venues such as Riche, Sturehof, and Gondolen, maintains an active art program featuring exhibitions across several of their locations.

Inom Räckhåll – En Alternativ Arsenal

In a joint collaboration, Konstfack and Lilla Baren at Riche have awarded an exhibition grant to a graduating student from the Bachelor's program in Textiles. This year, the grant was awarded to Molly Börjlind. In her work, a series of everyday objects have been transformed into conceptual sculptures navigating the threshold between care and aggression, the domestic realm, and the iconography of horror cinema. The work explores the potential for violence in everyday objects while honoring the female figures of horror films and their weapons. The exhibition opens 29 Oct and runs through Nov 14.
