Studio 44 has initiated a collaboration between artists and craftspeople, in which the boundary between art and craft is explored and placed in a contemporary context. Inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, the aim is to highlight how changes in today's society affect and shift craft-based practices in relation to the more conceptual focus of contemporary art.
