Extra

This exhibition is a collaboration between Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence and Konstfack’s bachelor's programme Smycke och Corpus: Ädellab. Students from both institutions have researched the theme ‘Extra’ – in all its multifaceted interpretations - through the lens of jewellery and object. Concepts such as excess, consumption, material symbolism, as well as jewellery and adornment’s ability to express and expand the ‘self’ are critically and creatively explored through the works presented in the exhibition.
The exhibition space, hosted in an industrial complex in Marievik, becomes a dynamic place of encounter, where installations, discussions, and other activities led by the students will take place in parallel with the exhibition.
