The Glass Academy is a platform for glass artists in Sweden. Among the members there is a great breadth both in techniques and artistic expression. Through the website, social media, workshops, publications and exhibitions, the Glass Academy share information about the contemporary Swedish glass movement and the history of the art form.

Meet 17 representatives from Glasakademin, each showing a unique piece in the avenue leading to Groens Malmgård – one of Stockholm's best-preserved manor gardens with an uninterrupted cultivation of crops for 300 years. During the exhibition the garden also features a café and fruit boxes filled with "Glassgoodies," smaller works by the exhibitors that are for sale during the exhibition. Curator: Liselotte Bjørnholt Henriksen. In connection with the opening on Thursday, the Glass Academy will offer warming drinks. “The connection between art and nature is multifaceted and enduring. This reflects our deep-rooted fascination with the beauty, diversity and fragility of the world we live in."

Quick and focused one-minute presentations by the participating artists. An introduction to the Glass Academy, glass techniques, and individual works. The presentations take place just outside the gates of Malmgården. The greenhouse café is open during the exhibition.

In connection with the exhibition "Nature Bridge" at Groens Malmgård, you have the opportunity to meet exhibiting artists from the Glasakademin (Glass Academy). Everyone will gather at the Luma pier to take the ferry to Barnängen, followed by a walk to the Malmgård in Vita Bergsparken. During the walk the artists will talk about the Glasakademin and what it's like to work as as glass artist.
