The collective FRAS consists of three textile artists who use weaving as their primary artistic medium. Their individual practices come together in conceptual exhibitions, where shared conversations form the foundation for exploring materiality as a central theme.

In their first exhibition, the art collective Fras is showing the results of an exploratory work with paper as a material. Paper, like hand weaving, represents something analog. And perhaps a shift in value has occurred with the digitalization of paperwork; a printout should not be made unnecessarily, and a paper invoice means unnecessary postage. On the other hand, a digital diploma cannot compare to a physical one. The exhibition takes place in a vacated post office and invites the visitor to experience the meeting between the artists' individual practices and how traditions surrounding paper weaving can emerge anew.

In connection with the exhibition "Paperwork," visitors are invited to a drop-in workshop where you can try spinning your own paper yarn by hand with a drop spindle. All materials and tools are available on site, but feel free to bring a peace of paper of your own that you would like to see spun.
