Extension Art Space

Curator Abir Boukhari founded Extension Art Space in 2023 as a platform dedicated to supporting artistic production and the development of ongoing practices. The space places particular emphasis on research-driven processes and solo exhibitions, fostering conditions for sustained artistic inquiry and focused presentation.

On The Way Through Chungjang-Ro

Through sewing-machine drawing, Park creates a visual archive of Gwangju, recording buildings, streets, passersby, and daily life around Chungjang-ro. The district is also connected to the May 18 Democratization Movement, from 18 to 27 May 1980, when many citizens sacrificed their lives in the struggle for democracy. The exhibition follows a meeting in Gwangju, where curator Abir Boukhari saw the existing work of Park while installing the AllArtNow Pavilion Exile City at Chungjang 22.
