Viola Nimuhamya är en multidisciplinär konstnär baserad i Bergen, Norge som arbetar med textilskulptur, installation och keramik. Hennes konstnärliga praktik är materiell och processbaserad och skapar ett utrymme där minnen, berättande och dialog möts. Nimuhamya använder sitt konstnärskap för att översätta personliga, kulturella och politiska berättelser och har utforskat hur hantverkets upprepning, särskilt genom vävning och virkning, kan bli en helande och meditativ ritual. Viola hämtar inspiration från sitt eget liv, sin kulturella bakgrund och de intima detaljerna i världen omkring henne. Som vinnare av Southnords "Up Next 2025" kommer Nimuhamya att skapa en skulptural installation i sin första soloutställning i Sverige, med titeln "One at a Time".
