MakeUp är en konstförening för konsthantverk, med mål att sprida kunskap om samtida konsthantverk och gynna utövare inom konstarten genom inköp. Föreningen drivs av Nina Westman, Matilda Kästel, Anna Fernell och Jenny Edlund.

Inför utställningen har konstföreningen MakeUp bjudit in fjorton konsthantverkare med olika materialbakgrund att skapa verk på temat synestesi – ett beforskat fenomen, som innebär att flera sinnen kopplas samman och överlappar varandra. Synestesi ger förmågan till långtgående och ibland oortodoxa, associationer. I dagsläget finns ungefär 70 varianter som täcker alla sinnen och abstrakta koncept.
