Klara Albertsson and Amelie Persson graduated from the Master’s Programme in Craft at HDK-Valand in 2022. Since then they have continued working both individually and in collaboration. With backgrounds in the fields of textiles and ceramics they work with sculpture and spatial installations, increasingly integrating a wider range of materials into their artistic expressions.

The exhibition presents works in textiles, ceramics, and stone within the artists' shared installation. Through these varied materials, and bound by a longing for the distant, they seek ways to orient themselves amid vast distances and uncertain points of reference. The two artists share a common approach to materials: how they can simultaneously serve as an escape from reality and a concrete grounding in the world. Within the processing of the material lies a resistance – akin to humanity's relationship with nature and our attempts to tame or inhabit it.
