I Was Here

What role does craft play in a world being reshaped from its very foundation? Today, we are at a technological turning point, much like the Industrial Revolution, where things made by hand is set against new technology. Konsthantverkscentrum (The Swedish Crafts Centre) presents an exhibition featuring nine artists working with experimental techniques and materials. The exhibition raises questions about the eternal and the ephemeral, history and the present, humanity’s place in nature, and human versus artificial intelligence.

Nyckeln till gemenskap

During this year's Stockholm Craft Week, children age 6–13 are invited to decorate and embroider together with the textile collective P.A.N.G. Create your own keychain or participate in a community embroidery that unfolds like a tablecloth over the table we gather around. With needle, thread, beads, and sequins, you can let stitches flow freely in a circular togetherness. It could become a heart shaped key holder for a dear friend, or an ornament to hang on your bag. After the workshop, you get to take home your own creation.
