Research Lab Craft

Research Lab CRAFT! 2025 is a group of 7 artists/designers that have participated in a one-year course in artistic research at Konstfack. Through their respective research projects in writing, art and crafts they have, from their different perspectives, explored crafts and making as method and research subject. Now all projects will be presented in a printed publication containing texts and images, aiming to contribute to the research field by compiling the insights gained throughout the course.

A living practice

Welcome to celebrate the release of "A living practice," a publication that presents this year's researchers from the Konstfack Research Lab CRAFT! Over the past year, they have approached artistic research not as a linear path toward a conclusion, but as an event in itself – a living practice. They see research as a radical act, a way of thinking not just about materials, but also with and through them. 

At 6:00 PM, the authors will hold a public conversation about their research and writing processes, and about the significance of craft for our way of living and encountering the world. The event will be held in English (as well as the publication!).
