During Stockholm Craft Week, Karin Johansson – one of Swedens' most renowned jewelry artists – will exhibit her works in a solo show at Platina. Johansson's work is investigative, and her pieces are often abstractions of specific themes. Her meticulous expression, skilled craftsmanship, and experience with form result in a unique and recognizable style of her own. Karin Johansson is based in Gothenburg and holds a master's degree in jewellery art from HDK-Valand, where she later served as a professor for the jewelry art department 2007 to 2019. Johansson has participated in a large number of international solo exhibitions and is represented at institutions including the Nationalmuseum, the Röhsska Museum, the Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo, and the Marzee Collection in the Netherlands.
