Konstfack Craft c/o The Cell

Konstfack is Sweden’s largest university of arts, crafts, and design. CRAFT! is Konstfack’s master’s program in applied arts.

The Cell is a collaborative partnership between Karolinska Institutet and the National Museum in Stockholm, with a curatorial focus on artworks that bridge the gap between art and science.

Resonance

The Cell and second year students from the Craft program of Konstfack University, present artworks created in response to The Cells current exhibition "Me You We- Exploring human behavior". Human behavior is shaped by our basic needs – how we eat, sleep and interact. Our relationships are shaped by biological, cultural and social factors. Through our actions we express care, hate and love – a mix of innate instincts and learned behaviors. The students have used the theme, artworks from the exhibition and selected historical objects from the Tekniska Museum, present in the exhibition, as inspiration to create new artworks from and to explore how their artistic practice is influenced by new contexts.
