The art collective P.A.N.G. believe in collaboration and consists of nine professional practitioners in art embroidery and textile art. The members have diverse backgrounds, education, and experiences, but they are united by the desire to give needle and thread a prominent place in both the art world and public spaces. The group's vision is to be a dynamic network for professional practitioners within embroidery and textile art.

The members of P.A.N.G. show the results of an exploratory project where they have continued to work on a fellow members' unfinished pieces left awaiting renewed inspiration. Recycled material already occurs in the artistic practice of several P.A.N.G. members, but for the first time the recycling consists of another member's half finished work. Together they ask questions on collaborative work, how ideas are born and how material and techniques can cross-fertilize. The artistic process becomes the focal point rather than the result. Give Away becomes a practice on letting go of your (art)work and observe its deconstruction by someone else, and it is also a practice in how to respectfully - or disrespectfully - take on a given material from someone elses hands and ideas.
