Nordiska museet

The Nordic Museum was founded 1873 and the collections contain about 1.5 million objects within handicrafts, jewelery, costumes and fashion. In the magnificent building at Djurgården the museum shows both contemporary and cultural-historical exhibitions about how people in the Nordic countries lived, ate, dressed and celebrated their traditions from the 16th century onwards.
