As a closure of her Konsthantverkscentrum-residence Fredin opens up her temporary studio for a glimpse into her latest work. During her time as Artist-in-Office, Fredin has developed a new project with the working title "Broiler". It's a research-based project about the human body as the final product in a society where the welfare has slowly dissolved and made space for a profit making doomsday machine. A place where the ego rules, where improvement equates growth and growth equates success. To invest in yourself, increase in mass, distend and pulsate indicates prosperity and quality of life. With the cycle "muscles to meat - meat to muscles" we are reborn as our own gods with the motto: "My body is my temple I become what I eat I am a Broiler"
