"I samlag med skogen” (An intercourse with the forrest) is the overarching title for a diverse collection of sculptures in clay, ceramics, wool, and wood that hum about existence, having a body, being a body, unease and anxiety. Behind the exhibition stands the ceramicist Karin Auran Frankenstein, who holds a master's degree in ceramics and glass from Konstfack University of Arts Crafts & Design. Karin is based in Malmö and works sculpturally, primarily with clay but also with other materials like textiles and wood, as well as with sound, performance, and animation. Her works touch on questions about our consciousness, the immaterial spiritual or human behavior. Nature and the physical body reoccur as sources of inspiration or as starting points in material-based exploration. The exhibition runs until October 25th.
