Finn Ahlgren

Finn Ahlgren's artistry revolves around aesthetics, status, and morality. He exclusively uses recycled materials that are often considered worthless and prefers to work with furniture design, where there are clear and often shared opinions about what is right and wrong, beautiful and ugly. Ahlgren views craftsmanship as crucial – to bring out mistakes, randomness, and the uncontrollable, the hand must be involved; thought alone would never be enough.

Råsnickra – en kurs för alla

Welcome to a drop-in workshop showing you how accessible and practical woodworking can be.

"Being able to join a few pieces of wood into something that resembles and functions as furniture should be a fundamental skill, much like writing. Not everyone needs to be good at it, and it doesn't even have to look nice." / Finn Ahlgren
