Supportive Structures
Supportive Structures är en grupp konsthantverkare som behärskar en rad material och tekniker; från keramik, glas och metall till stickning, tryck och performance. De enas i att använda hantverket som metod för att öka förståelsen för världen omkring oss. Kroppen spelar en central roll både i processen och i mötet med verken – gruppen fokuserar på det fysiska för att förstå vår position i det evigt föränderliga materiella landskapet vi lever i.

Supportive Structures is a group of artisans who master a range of materials and techniques; from ceramics, glass and metal to knitting, printing and performance. They use craft as a method to increase understanding of the world around us. The human body plays a central role both in the process and in the encounter with the works - the group focuses on the physical objects in order to understand our position in the ever-changing material landscape we live in.

Om • ”Re-building” är en utställning med 2022 års avgångsstudenter från masterprogrammet CRAFT! på Konstfack. Inför Stockholm Craft Week har de gått samman som ett kollektiv för att fortsätta stödja varandras konstnärliga praktiker och utmana den gängse synen på vad konsthantverk kan vara. Med denna utställning har de nyexaminerade konstnärerna byggt en plattform att växa från och låta andra inspireras av. Med verktygen de utvecklat under sin utbildning bjuder de in oss att följa deras resa som Masters of Craft. Efter SCW är utställningen öppen 15.00-19.00 på vardagar och 12.00-16.00 på helger fram till den 23 oktober.

About • "Re-building" is an exhibition with this year’s graduating students from CRAFT!, the master's program at Konstfack University of Arts Crafts and Design. Ahead of Stockholm Craft Week, they have come together as a collective to continue supporting each other's artistic practices and challenge the conventional view of what craft can be. With this exhibition, the newly graduated artists have built a platform to grow from and let others be inspired by. With the tools they developed during their training, they invite us to follow their journey as Masters of Craft. After SCW exhibition will be open 15.00-19.00 on weekdays and 12.00-16.00 on weekends until the 23rd of October.
